The No. 4 Ferndale football team once again got dominating play up front along both lines, as the Golden Eagles stayed perfect with a 46-7 3A Wesco North victory at Marysville-Pilchuck Friday.
“We did a great job of establishing the line of scrimage on both sides,” Ferndale coach Jamie Plenkovich said.
Ferndale’s defense, overall, had a very strong showing, as it pitched a shutout through the first three quarters, allowing the Golden Eagles (5-0, 2-0 3A Wesco North) to score the game’s first 46 points.
“They came out in the first quarter and showed us some things that we hadn’t seen,” Plenkovich said. “The kids did a good job of adjusting to it.”
