Bellingham’s Hofstetter to play basketball at Northwest University
Bellingham High School senior Kyle Hofstetter has decided to attend and play basketball for Northwest University in Kirkland, according to an email from Red Raiders coach Brad McKay.
Hofstetter was second on the team to Jonny Larson with 14.6 points per game last season, as he surpassed 20 points in each of Bellingham’s first four games.
At Northwest, Hofstetter will join former Lynden standout Dak Shagren, who finished second on the team with 16.6 points per game last season after leading the Eagles as a sophomore. The Eagles went 12-19 overall in 2015-16, falling in the quarterfinals of the Cascade Conference Tournament.
