The Beavers utilized their size to out rebound North Kitsap 15-3 in the first quarter to take control of the game and led 34-22 at the end of the first half. Sixberry led Woodland with 25 points, including 18 in the first half, while Mulder finished with nine points and 11 rebounds. Woodland, which won the battle on the boards 36-25, advanced to the state quarterfinals for the first time since 1984.

The shot made up for poor shooting by the Wolves through the first three quarters and trailed by as many as 12 points. Jacob scored 19 points in the game.
