Blaine loses in overtime after comeback

Blaine lost 69-67 in overtime to Cedarcrest in a Class 2A Northwest District Boys’ Basketball Tournament elimination game on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Skagit Valley College, bringing its season to a close.

Going into the fourth quarter, the Borderites were behind by 11 but managed to tie the game with seconds left on the clock.

It was a great comeback and an overall good season for Blaine, coach Shaun Pile said in a phone interview.

Shaq Woods led with 23 points for Blaine, while Kier Munzanreder followed with 21 points and Ben Adams added 16.

Cameron Hammontree led with 22 points for Cedarcrest.
