Ferndale loses to Spartans
Ferndale lost 48-79 to Stanwood in a first-round game of the Class 3A Northwest District Girls’ Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 13.
“We just really struggled tonight in all aspects of the game,” Ferndale coach Mike Ivy said in a phone interview.
Darrien Camariollo led Ferndale with 16 points, Gabrielle Edison followed with seven points. Morgan Barlean and Kylie Honrud each added six points.
Kaitlin Larson led Stanwood with 26 points. Haley Stowbridge followed with 17 points.
Most valuable player
Darrien Camarillo led Ferndale with 16 points and also had six steals, five rebounds and five assists.
Up next
Ferndale will face Edmonds-Woodway in an elimination game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at home.
