Balvanz leads Mount Baker to district win
Mount Baker won 71-52 over Cedar Park Christian in a third-place game of the Class 1A Northwest District Boys’ Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 13.
“It was a great win coming off our victory from last night,” Mount Baker coach Rob Gray said in a phone interview.
Grant Balvanz led the Mountaineers with 23 points, Timothy Soares followed with 15 and TJ Bass added 13 points. Jed Schleimer earned a career-high nine points.
The Mountaineers will go on to an elimination game against Overlake in the Class 1A Bi-District Tournament at 7:45 on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Mountlake Terrace High School.
