Nooksack Valley girls stay alive with district win
The Nooksack Valley girls’ basketball team held Bothell Cedar Park Christian to single digits in three quarters en route to a 51-30 victory in a Class 1A Northwest District Tournament elimination game Thursday, Feb. 11, at Nooksack Valley High School.
Arlissa Oettel had 16 points, Katrina Gimmaka had nine points, Emilia Gimmaka added eight points and Brianna Turner had six points and 10 rebounds.
The Pioneers, who improved to 15-9 on the season, will play Mount Baker in a third-place game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Mount Vernon High School.
