Basketball roundup: Pioneers earn win at Borderites
Emilia Gimmaka had 11 points and Arlissa Oettel and Brianna Turner had nine each as the Nooksack Valley girls’ basketball team earned a 44-32 Northwest Conference victory Friday, Feb. 5, at Blaine.
Josie Deming had 10 points for the Borderites and Ashley Dickerson added nine points.

Anacortes 49, Sehome 19: Sarah Eissess had six points and Madison McPhee added four points but the Mariners lost a Northwest Conference game at home. Gabby Ronngren led Anacortes with 13 points.

Lummi 51, Mountlake Terrace Cedar Park Christian 32: Trazil Lane had 27 points in a Class 1B Northwest District Tournament elimination game and the Blackhawks advanced to play Shoreline Christian in a fourth-place game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at home.
