Boys’ basketball roundup: Powell leads the Storm to victory

The Squalicum boys’ basketball team won 62-35 over Burlington-Edison on Thursday, Feb. 4.

Darious Powell led Squalicum with 19 points, Josiah Westbrook earned 10 points and Josh Vail added seven.

Drew Wesen led Burlington-Edison with 10 points.

Sedro-Woolley 75, Meridian 63: Daniel Young scored a career-high 22 points, but a rough second quarter led to Meridian’s 10th straight loss. Derek Campfield scored 12 points, and Sedro-Woolley was led by Davis Mihelich’s and Cade Isakson’s 13 points.

Lynden 75, Bellingham 42: Andrew Kivlighn led Lynden with 16 points, Noah King followed with 14 points and Sterling Somers added 11. Johnny Larson and Kyle Hoffstetter led Bellingham with eight points each.
