BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Red Raiders pull ahead in second half to win
The Bellingham boys’ basketball team won 81-70 over Sedro-Woolley for its first Northwest Conference victory on Monday, Jan. 25, at home.
“Sedro-Woolley came out with a lot of pressure and our guards had a tough time with that,” Bellingham coach Brad McKay said in a phone interview.
Then in the third quarter, Bellingham took the lead and was able to hold on.
Jake Chamberlin led Bellingham with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Johnny Larson followed with 23 points.
“Chamberlin put us on his back tonight and led us to victory,” McKay said.
Cade Isakson led Sedro-Woolley with 26 points.

Anacortes 79, Mount Baker 53: Anacortes used a 25-6 second-quarter in scoring and a 29-8 turnover advantage to beat Mount Baker in Anacortes. Timothy Soares had 10 points and eight rebounds for Mount Baker and Ethan Gates had 12 points.
They outscored us in the second quarter and pretty much set the tone for the rest of the game.
