GIRLS’ BASKETBALL: Lummi loses on the road
The Lummi girls’ basketball team lost 32-10 on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Highland Christian.
Jenyha Ell was the leading scorer for the Blackhawks with six points, and Jayda Phair and Marlenah Jefferson had two points each.
Lummi coach Albert Toby was upbeat about the effort.
“The whole team contributed on defense, whether it was rebounds or tipped balls,” Toby said in a phone interview. “It was pure hustle tonight.”
