BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Lions dominate second half to beat Borderites
Lynden boys’ basketball team was glad to have senior point guard Noah King back on the court, as he scored 18 points in Lynden’s 77-48 win over Blaine on Monday, Jan. 11.
King returned after three weeks off with an injured wrist and contributed right away with 12 points in the first quarter.
“I can say with all sincerity, it is good to have Noah back,” Lynden coach Brian Roper said in a phone interview. “He’s our senior point guard, and we figured anything we got from him would be a bonus, but 18 points in 15 minutes is no little thing.”
Sterling Somers also made an important contribution, with 22 points and four assists for Lynden.
Both Lynden and Blaine hit the court again at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11. Sehome will host Lynden, and Blaine will play at Ferndale.
