BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Red Raiders earn win over Pioneers
The Bellingham boys’ basketball team used a 24-14 advantage in the fourth quarter to break open a tight game and beat Nooksack Valley 76-69 on Monday, Dec. 7, at Nooksack Valley High School.
”It seems like when the game is on the line we play a little bit tight and that’s what happened tonight,” Nooksack Valley coach Chris Scrimsher said in a phone interview. “Other than that it was a real tight game, a back and forth game.”
Jonny Larson had 26 points, including four 3-pointers for the Red Raiders, Kyle Hofstetter added 21 points, Austin Shenton had 10 points and Zach Nolan had 12 rebounds.
Connor Beard led Nooksack Valley with 21 points and Aaron Bosscher had 14.

Mount Baker 81, Coupeville 59: Timothy Soares led the way for Mount Baker with 21 points and 12 rebounds in its win over Coupeville on Monday, Dec. 7. TJ Bass earned 14 points and Mason Bass added 11.
