BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Red Raiders get by Marysville-Pilchuck behind efforts of Hofstetter
Bellingham jumped out to a quick start and then held off Marysville-Pilchuck for a 65-47 nonconference victory on Saturday, Dec. 5, at home.
Kyle Hofstetter dropped 22 points but was even more impressive on the defensive side of things.
“He just had an all-around great game,” Bellingham coach Brad McKay said in a phone interview.
The Red Raiders scored 39 points by halftime and only allowed 16 in the second half. Jonny Larson also added 18 points.

Lynden opens its season on the road against league rival Anacortes at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7. The two teams could end finishing toward the top of the Northwest Conference standings by season’s end.
