GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: LC earns road win at ATM
The Lynden Christian girls’ basketball team had a strong start and stronger finish, as it earned a 52-40 non-conference victory Friday, Dec. 4, at Archbishop Murphy.
The Lyncs opened with a 16-9 advantage in the first quarter and finished the fourth with a 19-11 edge.
”We got off to a good start. Sam Van loo got some buckets early and Kara Bajema scored some late,” LC coach Brady Bomber said in a phone interview. “It was a tough place to play, and the crowd was really wild.”
Bajema finished with 17 points, including two 3-pointers, and four assists and Van Loo had 16 points.
Riley Van Hulzen and Haley Hollander had eight rebounds each.
