Other results
Overlake 58, Meridian 49: The Trojans dug themselves a 24-6 hole after the first quarter and couldn’t recover fully during the first day of a four-team tournament at Friday Harbor, though they did cut the deficit to five with about five minutes to play. Gursewak Singh hit three 3-pointers to lead Meridian with 12 points.
The story early this year is we’re not starting real fast. Once we get that fixed — you look at other three quarters and we fought back against a pretty good team — we should be OK.
Meridian coach Shane Stacy
