Ferndale’s Sandstrom selected all-star MVP

Ferndale senior Kyle Sandstrom was selected Offensive MVP during the Washington State All-Star Baseball Tournament last weekend.

Sandstrom and Squalicum High School’s Ernie Yake played for Team Adams, which won the four-team tournament. Sandstrom went 4 for 5 with three RBI during the championship game.

Nooksack Valley’s Noah Rawls also competed in the all-state games. Sandstrom will play for Lower Columbia Community College next season.
