Zavisubin tosses another gem for Sehome
Felix Zavisubin continued his dominant pitching this season in a 8-1 Northwest Conference win against Lynden Christian on Thursday, April 21.
Zavisubin struck out six in a complete game while only giving up one run on four hits. He was also 2 for 3 with two RBI. Owen Wright and Cameron Tipton were both 1 for 4 as Sehome had eight runs on eight hits.
The Lyncs committed five errors on defense.
”We beat ourselves,” coach Daniel Vander Kooi said.

Meridian 5, Squalicum 0: Simon Burkett threw a complete game shutout to help Meridian earn a Northwest Conference win over Squalicum. Burkett gave up six hits and needed only 76 pitches to get past Storm hitters.
Ferndale 21, Mount Baker 0 (5): Ferndale scored 19 runs in the first inning en route to a Northwest Conference victory over Mount Baker. James Hinson was 3 for 5 with five RBI including a grand slam home run, and Kyle Sandstrom earned his first win of the year.
Lynden 4, Burlington-Edison 1: The Lions earned a Northwest Conference victory over the Tigers. No other information was available at press time.
Sedro-Woolley 2, Bellingham 1: The Red Raiders lost a Northwest Conference game against the Cubs despite getting nine hits. Bellingham’s only run came in the fourth inning on a hit by Kyle Dether. Dether also pitched and earned the loss.
