Ferndale commits 8 errors in loss to Shorewood

Everything besides the Golden Eagles’ defense came to play as Ferndale lost to Shorewood 15-5 in six innings Friday, April 1, at Ferndale High School.

Ferndale fielders made eight errors on the night which proved to be too much to overcome despite a five RBI game by Matt James. Starting pitcher Buddy Juneau received the loss but according to coach Donny Hennigs, Juneau “pitched his tail off.”

”He made them put the ball in play,” Hennigs said. “When you fall behind you have to keep grinding which is what we preach all the time.”
