Bellingham High junior softball player Eliza Rossman has been selected an Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, according to a release on Wednesday, March 30.
Rossman was 2-0 in the circle with 18 strikeouts and a 1.02 ERA in the Red Raiders’ wins over Meridian and Nooksack Valley last week. She also had a good week at the plate, going 6 for 7 with a double, two home runs, five runs scored and eight RBI.
Rossman is the second Whatcom County student-athlete to earn the honor in as many weeks, joining Squalicum boys’ soccer player Tyler Hughes.
