The Bellingham Bells have added Bellingham High senior and University of Washington baseball commit Austin Shenton to their 2016 roster, according to a media release.
As a junior in 2015, Shenton hit .315 with 10 runs scored and 12 RBI and helped the Red Raiders reach the Class 2A Northwest District Tournament.
The left-handed hitter is ranked as the 142nd-best prospect in the country by Perfect Game, and Baseball America ranks him 94th.
“Austin is an incredible ballplayer and an even better kid,” Bells Vice President of Operations Nick Caples said in the release. “The amount of time that he spends perfecting his game says a lot about the person he is and the passion he has for the sport.”
