Stephanie, Sterling Somers transfer schools

Former Lynden basketball standout Stephanie Somers, and Lynden senior Sterling Somers, each transferred to different universities this week.

Stephanie, who the past two seasons has played at Idaho State University, decided to transfer to California State University San Marcos, while Sterling, who previously had committed to Seattle Pacific University, transferred to Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

Sterling finished as Lynden’s second leading scorer in school history and holds the record for most defensive rebounds in a career and in a season.
