Lynden Christian qualifies 2 for state
Two of the four Lynden Christian golfers shot well enough during the Class 1A Bi-District Boys’ Golf Tournament on Tuesday, May 17, to advance to state.
Erik VanderVelden led the way for the Lyncs with an 80 and Kaden Sterk shot a 91 to make it under the cutline by one stroke.
“I thought we did OK,” coach Dana Hagen said. “It’s not an easy course. It kinda has a goofy, awkward design so it was good to make a few more putts today.”
No other information was available at press time from other 1A schools.
