WCC volleyball signs Bellingham’s Douglas, Ferndale’s Potter
Whatcom Community College volleyball coach Angie Short announced in an email on Saturday, April 23, that she has signed two area players to begin this fall — Bellingham’s Summer Douglas and Ferndale’s Taryn Potter.
Potter averaged 3.29 kills and three digs per set and had a .319 hitting percentage for the Golden Eagles last season. She was a first-team All-Northwest Conference selection.
Douglas was a second-team All-NWC selection and helped the Red Raiders qualify for the Class 2A Northwest District Tournament and nearly make it to state.
Both were All-Whatcom County selections.
