Prep baseball roundup: Monroe too much for Squalicum
The Squalicum baseball team was limited to three hits and committed three errors in a 7-1 nonleague loss Monday, March 21, at home to Class 4A Monroe.
Jack Boysen knocked in the only run of the game for the Storm and Sam Moore gave up four hits and four runs (two earned) in five innings to take the loss in his first varsity start.
Squalicum coach John Inge praised Moore’s work on the mound.
“It was a really solid outing for him,” Inge said in a phone interview. “He did a nice job but we didn’t play good D behind him though.”
