Lynden Hall of Fame banquet tickets go on sale

Tickets for the Lynden Athletic Hall of Fame banquet are on sale at the Lynden High School office.

The banquet will be held at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Steakhouse 9 (115 E Homestead Boulevard) in Lynden. Tickets cost $40 and include a prime rib/chicken buffet-style dinner.

This year’s inductees into the Hall of Fame are athletes Les Powers and Lou Zylstra and meritorious service honoree Jerry Blankers. The inductees also will be honored at halftime of Lynden’s Jan. 28 game against Ferndale at the Jake Maberry Gymnasium.
