LC volleyball moves up to No. 2 in 1A state rankings

The defending state champion Lynden Christian volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 2 in the Class 1A rankings released Monday, Nov. 10, by the Washington State Coaches Association.

Kalama is the only team that remains ranked ahead of the Lyncs, who will head later this week to Yakima, will there will attempt to repeat as state champions. The two teams could meet in the state semifinals, but LC opens play on Friday, Nov. 13 against Montesano.

Yakima West Valley (Class 4A), Archbishop Murphy (2A), Pomeroy (2B) and Colfax (1B), earned the No. 1 spots in their respective rankings, while no 3A rankings were released.
