Lyncs volleyball moves up one spot to No. 3 in 1A rankings
Two days after winning the Class 1A Northwest District Tournament title and locking up the program’s 19th straight trip to the state tournament, the Lynden Christian volleyball moved up one spot in the Washington State Coaches Association state rankings.
The Lyncs, who will play for the bi-district title on Saturday, Nov. 7, checked in at No. 3 in the Class 1A rankings — the only Whatcom County team in the rankings. They trail only top-ranked Freeman and Kalama.
Burlington-Edison was No. 1 in the 2A poll, while Anacortes was ranked 10th. Yakima West Valley (4A) Auburn Riverside (3A), Napavine (2B) and Pomeroy (1B) were the top-ranked teams in their respective classifications.
