Ferndale earns spring academic awards

Ferndale High School was given 16 academic team awards by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association on May 12.

Outstanding awards, which are given to any team with a GPA of 3.5 or above, went to the varsity softball team, the junior varsity boys’ golf team, the varsity girls’ golf team and all three girls’ tennis teams.

All three baseball teams earned distinguished awards, as did the boys’ soccer varsity and C-team. Joining in on the distinguished honors, which are given to any team with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49, was the JV and C softball teams, the boys’ varsity golf team and the track teams.
