UW Huskies home-and-home series with Tennessee set for 2029, 2030
Washington is set to visit the SEC.
And Tennessee is set to visit the Pac-12.
The two universities announced Wednesday morning their football programs have scheduled a home-and-home series for the 2029 and 2030 seasons.
This will be the first meeting ever between the Washington and Tennessee football programs.
The Huskies head to Knoxville for the first game of the series, which is set for Sept. 1, 2029, and the Volunteers will make the return trip to Seattle the following year, with the game set for Sept. 7, 2030.
“This home-and-home has been in the works for several months and it’s exciting to get it to the finish line so we can share with both fan bases,” UW athletic director Jen Cohen said in a release. “Anytime two storied programs with unique gameday traditions can come together to agree to play in a series like this is a huge opportunity for the student-athletes that will be competing and the communities as a whole. A big thanks to Danny White and his team at Tennessee for the collaboration to make this happen.”
Tennessee is one of three Power Five programs currently scheduled to visit Husky Stadium for a nonconference matchup in the next decade, joining Big Ten members Michigan State and Ohio State. Michigan State is set to visit in September, and Ohio State in 2024.
