For the third time this season and the seventh time in two years, former Bellingham High golfer Jenn Paul has been selected the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for March 7-13.

Paul, a sophomore at Western Washington University, won medalist honors at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout last week at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in California, finishing the 36-hole tournament with a 1-under par 143. She punctuated the run with a second-round 3-under 69 to win by 1 stroke.

Paul, who also won the GNAC weekly award earlier this season for Oct. 19-25 and Feb. 22-28, became the first Viking to win a regular-season tournament since fellow Bellingham alum Claire Rachor in 2011 and just the third WWU player to finish a tournament below par.
