Vikings lose to Western Oregon

Western Washington University mens’ basketball lost 78-58 to Western Oregon on Saturday, Jan. 16, at Whatcom Pavillion.

Senior guard Ricardo Maxwell had a team-high 17 points for the Vikings, who fall to 10-7 overall, 4-4 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Western Oregon, ranked 11th nationally in NCAA Division II, improve to 13-3 and 7-1.

Redshirt freshman forward Trey Drechsel added 16 points and a game-high 8 rebounds for Western.
