Milbrandt places 5th in 60-meter hurdles

Senior Travis Milbrandt placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles and sophomore Bryan Lee was fifth in the weight throw, leading Western Washington University in the season-opening University of Washington Indoor Preview on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Dempsey Indoor Center.

Milbrandt clocked an NCAA II provisional mark of 8.17 in the prelims and placed with an 8.28 mark in the finals. His prelim time is unofficially the 10th-fastest in Division II this season.

The men’s 4x400 relay team placed third in 3:22.62.

Jasmine McMullin placed sixth in the long jump with a personal-best 17-00.50, sixth-best in program indoor history.
