WWU men’s basketball loses exhibition game
Western Washington University mens’ basketball lost 98-97 to the Seattle Mountaineers during a fast-paced exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Whatcom Pavilion.
Senior point guard Ricardo Maxwell led all players with 28 points. Junior forward Jeffrey Parker added 22 points and six rebounds.
Western led the first half at 56-40 but could not could not break away and was outscored 58-41 in the second half.
Western remains 2-1 for the regular season and are ranked No. 15 in the NCAA Division II Coaches Poll.
The Western Vikings return to regular season play against Multnomah at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, at Skagit Valley College.
