Five WWU track athletes receive all-academic honors

Five Western Washington University track and field athletes have been named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Track & Field Athletes for 2015 as announced on Friday, July 17.

The quintet of Vikings included Gordon Kordas, a pole vaulter and physics major with a 3.75 grade point average; Jasmine McMullin, a triple jumper and English-literature major with a 3.91 GPA; Megan Mortensen, a discus thrower and environmental science major with a 3.31 GPA; Anna Paradee, a pole vaulter taking a pre-physical therapy program with a 3.67 GPA; and Katie Reichert, a javelin thrower and communication studies major with a 3.52 GPA.

Kordas and McMullin were recognized in indoor track, and Mortensen, Paradee and Reichert were recognized in outdoor track.
