WWU men’s basketball signs Camas High School players

Trevor Jasinsky, a 6-foot-7 senior at Camas High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play men’s basketball beginning this fall at Western Washington University. Making that announcement Monday, April 20, was Vikings’ head coach Tony Dominguez.

On Saturday, Apr. 18, Jasinsky was named Most Valuable Player of the 2015 Washington vs. Oregon Northwest Shootout, contributing 22 points, six rebounds and four assists to a 109-108 Washington victory.

Jasinsky, who also competed in the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association All-State game and was a McDonalds All-American nominee, was a first-team Vancouver Columbian All-Region and Greater St. Helens League all-star as a senior for the Papermakers. He helped them to the first round of the Class 4A state tournament, the school’s first appearance in 51 years, averaging 18.1 points per game, 7.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
