ESPN NFL Analyst Matt Miller's Terrifying Car Accident Caught On Video

ESPN NFL analyst Matt Miller's terrifying car accident was caught on video, obtained by The California Post on Tuesday.

Miller, who has served as an NFL Draft analyst for ESPN since 2021, was involved in a horrifying car accident in Kansas City, Missouri in late June. Miller's arm had to be amputated as a result of the accident.

"Last week, I was involved in a serious car accident in Missouri and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital. I'm deeply grateful for the exceptional care I have received, from the first responders to the doctors, nurses and medical staff. I'm incredibly fortunate to be writing this," he shared.

"As a result of the accident, I sustained significant injuries, including multiple fractures and broken ribs. I also underwent a life-saving amputation of my left arm. While I have a long road ahead, I'm focused on my recovery and taking things one day at a time."

On Tuesday, The California Post published a video of Miller's car accident. The footage shows Miller's blue 2023 Ford Bronco traveling on a Jasper County, Mo. roadway at around 3:50 p.m. on June 17. The car suddenly veers over the centerline and collides with an oncoming truck.

A witness described the scene as terrifying.

"I was leaving my sister's house," the witness said, per The Post. "I might have been maybe 100 yards behind. I witnessed the Bronco just a hard swerve into the semi's lane. The semi tried to swerve. It made contact. I haven't ever seen a car explode like that. I ran to the Bronco and there was no one in the vehicle. I heard groaning behind me.

"I saw a man laying in the grass. I called 911."

Miller is on leave at ESPN right now

In the weeks that have followed the crash, Miller has been accused by many of running shady charity fantasy football leagues, often not paying the winners in a timely fashion, if at all, according to former players, many of which spoke to Awful Announcing.

The Missouri Attorney General's Office has opened an investigation into the claims, according to Awful Announcing.

Miller has said that he will be stepping away from his role at ESPN as he recovers from his injuries.

"A quick update: The surgery to remove my left arm was successful with hopes of an eventual prosthetic replacement. Similarly, the femur and patella surgeries were also successful and the fantastic surgery team was able to save my left leg.  To best focus on my healing and recovery, I'm stepping away indefinitely and will be placed on leave from ESPN. Thank you to all for the prayers and thoughts; please keep them coming," he shared in a post on X, in which he limited the replies to his post.
