Seahawks: Questions Emerge on Rookie Before Training Camp
The Seattle Seahawks have some big questions to answer at the running back position after losing Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency.
Walker led Seattle in rushing with 1,027 yards and five touchdowns on 221 carries last season and earned the Super Bowl MVP award for his play against the New England Patriots in February.
Zach Charbonnet was the second-leading rusher on the Seahawks, but his return for the upcoming season is unclear after he suffered an ACL tear against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.
The Seahawks addressed the running back position with its pick in the first round, but there is some uncertainty about how much of a role Jadarian Price will have on the offense this season.

Per Brady Henderson of ESPN, Seattle is expected to have a running back by committee with Price, George Holani and Emanuel Wilson until Charbonnet is healthy. The Seahawks need Price to prove he can be effective in the passing game before he takes on a larger role.
“The Seahawks worked Price in with their No. 1 offense behind George Holani, and that was not a surprise,” Henderson wrote. “They did not draft Price with the thought that he’d become a high-volume starter right away. He will share time with Holani and Emanuel Wilson as Seattle waits for Zach Charbonnet to return.
“One question with Price is his ability to contribute in the passing game after he finished his college career with only 15 receptions. He looked plenty capable as a pass catcher during the spring.”
Price could be more effective this season in a system that shares the load. He wasn’t a starter in college last season, playing behind Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame.
As a change-of-pace running back, Price rushed for 1,692 yards and 11 touchdowns on 113 carries (6.0 yards per rush).
