Simone Biles Shows Up for Jonathan Owens' Special Night in St. Louis

Simone Biles made sure she was there for one of the most meaningful moments of Jonathan Owens' offseason.

On Friday night, the Olympic gymnastics icon joined her husband at Busch Stadium as Owens took part in a special hometown celebration before the St. Louis Cardinals game. While Owens has enjoyed a successful NFL career that has taken him across the country, his roots remain firmly planted in St. Louis, and the Cardinals made sure to recognize that connection.

The NFL veteran safety was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, with Biles accompanying him onto the field for the memorable occasion.

"The Lou's own Jonathan Owens was joined by Simone Biles on the field for tonight's first pitch!" the Cardinals posted on social media. "Jonathan continues to represent St. Louis with pride, giving back to the community through his Jonathan Owens Foundation and inspiring others through his journey, hard work, and commitment to excellence."

Cardinals Celebrate One of St. Louis' Own

The appearance wasn't just about baseball.

Owens is back in St. Louis this week for the fifth annual free football camp hosted through the Jonathan Owens Foundation at CBC High School, where he starred as a student-athlete before beginning his path to the NFL.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Owens has consistently used his platform to give back to the community that helped shape him. His foundation focuses on helping young people build resilience and overcome obstacles, a mission inspired by the strength of his mother, Arthurine, who battled the rare muscle disease polymyositis.

The Cardinals' recognition highlighted not only Owens' NFL success but also the impact he continues to make away from football.

Simone Biles Continues Supporting Jonathan Owens

Biles has become a familiar presence throughout Owens' football journey, regularly attending games and celebrating milestones with her husband.

Friday's appearance came as Biles continues to enjoy life away from competition following her historic Olympic career. The seven-time Olympic gold medalist recently acknowledged there is still a possibility she could compete at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, though she has not made any final decision about a return.

For one night, however, the spotlight shifted from gymnastics and football to a hometown celebration.

With Biles by his side and thousands of Cardinals fans watching, Owens had the opportunity to represent the city that raised him while continuing a tradition of giving back through his annual football camp.

It was a special moment for one of St. Louis' own, made even more memorable by having one of the greatest athletes of all time there to share it with him.
