NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race at Nashville Delayed for Rain, Expected Start Time
The rain has played games with NASCAR throughout the afternoon and into the evening on Friday night. Just as the Craftsman Truck Series race was set to begin, the rain began to come down even harder.
The tailgaters were able to practice, but qualifying was rained out with 13 trucks left to attempt a lap. So, the lineup was set by the metric. Layne Riggs is in the pole position, but now he has to wait to make the most of that because the rain has moved in once again before the green flag.
Teams have trucks covered up on pit road. NASCAR is in a full on delay. FS1 has started to show the 2025 Truck Series race on its broadcast. The track has been lost and drying efforts will need to be made before this race can begin. Depending on how much of the track got rained on, it could take an hour to an hour and a half to dry all 1.33 miles.
It's another week with rain and delays. Hopefully, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and Cup Series have better luck the next two days.
