Giannis Antetokounmpo Predicts Which Team Will Win The NBA Finals

The NBA Finals matchup is not officially set just yet, but what is known is that the New York Knicks will represent the Eastern Conference for the first time in 27 years.

Coming out of the Western Conference will either be the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs, as the two teams are set to meet in Game 7 on Saturday night for the right to face New York in the NBA Finals next week.

Whoever advances out of the West is expected to open as the betting favorite, but according to NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Knicks are going to capture their first championship since 1973.

"I feel like the Knicks will win the whole thing," Antetokounmpo said. "In basketball, there's like a momentum. They won like 11 in a row. And you know, the city just rallies behind them."

Antetokounmpo also praised the atmosphere inside Madison Square Garden, calling it "fire," and the Knicks were previously rumored to be one of the teams potentially in the sweepstakes for the Bucks superstar.

While a trade involving Antetokounmpo still appears likely to materialize sometime over the next few weeks leading up to the NBA draft, the Knicks could remain a potential destination. However, much may ultimately depend on how the NBA Finals play out and what New York would be willing to part with in a potential trade package to acquire him.
