Napavine handed Toledo its first league loss of the season on Monday, pulling away for an 11-1 road win to move into a tie for second place in the Central 2B League standings.

It was a pitchers' duel early on, as both Napavine's Layton Griffith and Toledo's Rohan Feigenbaum allowed just one run each through the first four innings.

The Tigers broke through with a four-run fifth, a frame that included a two-run single from Eric Bullock and an RBI hit by pitch from Jackson Calder. In the sixth, Grady Wilson hit an RBI single, and Calder drew an RBI walk to make it 7-1.

Another four-run frame in the seventh helped seal the deal, and all four runs came across with just one base hit in the frame. Two runs scored on bases-loaded walks, one scored on another hit batter, and another came across on a sacrifice fly.

Bullock finished with three RBIs, while Wilson and Calder finished with two apiece.

Griffith ended up pitching six full innings, allowing three hits and one run while walking three and striking out seven. Hudson Chambers pitched the seventh, striking out two without allowing a hit.

After scoring on a hit by pitch in the bottom of the third, Toledo managed just one more hit over the final four frames.

With the result, both Napavine (13-1) and Toledo (10-2) sit at 9-1 in C2BL play, a half-game behind first-place Adna. On Wednesday, the Tigers and Riverhawks will meet again in Napavine, and the winner will move into sole possession of second.
