Lynden’s Arneson wins Walla Walla golf tournament

Lynden’s Ezra Arneson finished day two of the Walla Walla Banner Bank Junior Invitational Golf Tournament shooting a 2-under-par 70 to claim the tournament title Friday, July 10, at the Walla Walla Country Club.

Arneson, who finished fifth place during last spring’s Class 2A State Tournament, shot a 74 on the opening day to finish even-par for the tournament.

“It’s really great because he does set the example for the rest of the team,” Lynden golf coach Russ Dorr said in a phone interview.
