“All students are safe and the school has devised a release plan for students to safely reach the bus loop, the parent pick-up line, and to exit campus to walk home,” Coeur d’Alene Public Schools said on Facebook.

They are massive animals, weighing between 800 and 1,200 pounds and standing up to 6-feet tall. They are “extremely curious” and looking for mates right now, so their behavior can be a little peculiar, McClatchy News reported.

Luckily, the moose stayed away from anyone on campus, the school district said.

“This guy has been great about staying socially distanced,” the Facebook post said. “We couldn’t find a mask that fits.”
