Bellingham SCORE helping businesses

Bellingham SCORE was established in 1991 and had about 15 volunteers in 2015.

Purpose: Bellingham SCORE Chapter 591 is dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed. SCORE Chapter 591 has served existing and new businesses in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties for more than 20 years.

Volunteer highlights: Our 15 counselors collectively have more than 275 years of business experience across a broad set of business environments. We offer local small business entrepreneurs face-to-face, confidential business counseling services at no charge. Our counselors have the knowledge and experience to help any small business owner get the help they need.

Signature fundraiser: Through our partnership with Whatcom Community College we provide local workshops to connect small business owners with the people and information they need to start, grow, and maintain their businesses.

Wish list: Continuing stream of clients interested in business.

Current volunteer needs: Experienced business individuals who like to help others starting or growing a business.
