Homeless housing
Shelter is something often taken for granted, and I am happy to hear of the alliance made between Lydia Place and DVSAS.
With their combined expertise and compassion, they will be able to provide a trustworthy safe haven for those women who need a helping hand the most. With the amount of precipitation we receive in Bellingham, it is pleasing to know that 21 women and children will no longer have to sleep shivering from wet clothing and will get the assistance they need. Second chances are important, and I hope that the program is successful in empowering these women to re-take control of their life.
