Baby death

I cannot understand how the case regarding the recent death of the Shields baby could end so tragically.

With family so close and available now to defend them, why weren’t they called upon when the baby was suffering? Also, with Affordable Care Act geared to assist financially if there were financial issues, why couldn’t there be medical intervention for a possible case of curable colic? If not colic, specialists are available to determine the cause and prevent this tragedy from occurring.

I believe this is truly an inexcusable act of total family neglect. How embarrassing. With so many health safety nets available, family near, how can we lay to rest this small life among us, so indefensible and innocent?
