Voting motives

As an admirer of Ms. Steinem and Ms. Albright, I am dismayed to read of their remarks about young women’s voting motives. We are supposed to be getting past the voting for a person because he is black or white, or because she is an evangelical or for some other narrow reasoning. As for Ms. Steinem’s comments, they were worthy of the most blinkered conservative. Very disappointing. It is good that she apologized, but I fear those feathers are out of the bag, not to be retrieved.
