As a lifelong resident of Bellingham and a current resident of the Sehome Hills neighborhood, I believe the proposed plans for the for Aloha and Old Town properties could be very effective. The idea of eliminating homelessness and transient life in a city so full of opportunity and love is one I find very far-fetched, but the idea of giving those wishing to improve their quality of life a better shot in liveable conditions I can agree with. By re-building and establishing new authority within the low-income housing, crime in the area can be better controlled.
