Suggests students wear uniforms
Appropriate clothing should not be a lengthy discussion issue, and especially so, when it take time away from school administrators to spend time forming a clothing matrix.
The issue, I believe, is in the mind-set of students, with the majority of their thoughts on the topic related to “who is wearing what” and “how can I be in the correct crowd.”
This whole issue could be resolved simply by requiring that school uniforms are to be worn on the school grounds. The students could change clothes after school but during school periods and programs the student’s specific attention should be directed to education and not social clothing issues. Many schools in other parts of this country, as well as in other countries, require uniforms, and the students do pay better attention to class instruction.
